Data Bodies was commissioned by the Wissenswerkstatt Bielefeld in cooperation with Provisuell GmbH for the exhibition “KI und Wir” and shown during Nachtansichten 2025. Above the atrium, a large screen picks up the people moving below and turns them into data, into silhouettes made of light, particles and signal.
The work asks how artificial intelligence sees us: not as faces or names, but as patterns, coordinates and movement. By playing in front of the screen, visitors experience that translation in real time and become part of the dataset themselves. Concept, design and the complete real-time implementation were realised in TouchDesigner.
